Delta Heavy is coming back to San Diego. On Friday, September 11, 2026, United By Bass brings one of the UK’s most recognizable Drum & Bass acts back to Spin Nightclub for another massive edition of SD Union.
For San Diego DNB fans, this is the kind of lineup that needs little introduction.
The iconic UK duo will headline Area 1 alongside some of San Diego’s own Drum & Bass talent, while Area 2 delivers another room of local DJs and selectors. Add a serious sound system, two areas of music, and more than 15 years of SD Union history, and September 11 is shaping up to be one of the standout Drum & Bass events in San Diego this fall.
Few acts embody the evolution of modern Drum & Bass quite like Delta Heavy.
The UK duo of Ben Hall and Simon James first made their mark on the Drum & Bass world with releases on RAM Records, emerging in 2010 with the now-iconic “Space Time / Take The Stairs.” Since then, Delta Heavy have built a reputation for combining heavyweight basslines, cinematic production, huge melodies, and festival-sized energy into a sound that refuses to stay inside a single genre box.
Their music has consistently bridged the gap between underground Drum & Bass culture and the larger electronic music world. Over the years, Delta Heavy have become known for productions that can hit just as hard in a packed warehouse as they can on a massive festival stage.
That versatility is a major part of what makes a Delta Heavy performance so effective.
One moment you’re locked into a rolling Drum & Bass groove. The next, a massive synth hook or bass-heavy drop takes the entire room somewhere else.
And on Friday, September 11, that experience comes to Spin Nightclub in San Diego.
For more than a decade, SD Union has been a central part of the San Diego Drum & Bass community.
Founded in 2010 by Tyler Rosier, Brandon Garva, and Eric Yo, SD Union began as a grassroots gathering built around a simple idea: bring world-class Drum & Bass artists to San Diego while creating a home for the local scene. Since then, the series has grown into one of Southern California’s longest-running Drum & Bass event brands.
The SD Union lineup history reads like a who’s who of Drum & Bass.
Over the years, the series has welcomed artists including Goldie, DJ Marky, Calyx & Teebee, London Elektricity, LTJ Bukem, Friction, Calibre, Pola & Bryson, S.P.Y., Ed Rush & Optical, Dieselboy, Danny Byrd, Bensley, and countless other international and local artists.
That combination of international headliners and San Diego talent has always been at the heart of SD Union.
And Delta Heavy’s return continues that tradition.
