His journey into drum & bass began at 15 when he first encountered the electrifying sounds of Bad Company and London Elektricity. Six years later, he took to the stage, mic in hand, and quickly became one of jump-up’s best-kept secrets, securing residencies across Europe and earning a reputation as a dynamic performer.
Over the years, Degs has refined his craft, effortlessly fusing R&B and hip-hop influences into his songwriting and MCing. His versatility sets him apart, switching between rapid-fire bars and soulful harmonies inspired by legends like Fats, Eksman, and Dynamite. Mastering both rapping and singing is no easy feat, but Degs makes it look effortless—his artistry catching the attention of Hospital Records, where he became a standout vocalist on their roster.
His debut single, Poveglia (feat. De:Tune), became a drum & bass anthem in 2018, racking up over 500,000 streams and earning club support worldwide. Building on this momentum, he released the Mixtape Sprayout, reworking iconic Hospital Records classics with his signature touch. His Black Sheep freestyle was a defining moment, putting him firmly on London Elektricity’s radar.
