Musician Dip Vertigo

Los Angeles based DJ/Producer Dip Vertigo is a name that is recognized across the states and even abroad. With releases on Hospital Records and Soul Deep Recordings, his production has gone to another level catching the ears and eyes of the drum & bass masses.

With his Birthday approaching (It’s Today) we wanted to sit down and catch up with Dip Vertigo to see what Top 5 Liquid Tunes are at the top of his playlist right now. Per usual, he did not disappoint and delivered a quality list of music that everyone should have in their rotation as well. Check out his Top 5 and make sure to follow Dip Vertigo at the links below.

1) Hugh Hardie – Raindrops feat. Cimone

This has been on heavy rotation in my sets.  The drum break sizzles through the track with a fierce energy.  Coupled with the luscious vocals of Cimone and orchestral elements, the lead in to the rolling bassline, with the perfect touch of LFO keeps this amazing track driving forward.  A tune I can listen to over and over again!

2) London Elektricity – Building a Better World

The title track off his latest album, Hospital Records head honcho Tony Colman brings the funk, soul, and jazzy acoustic feel to this one. A beautiful piece of music, with a wonderful message expressed, by Emer Dineen in a jazzerific style that melts the heart. During a time where our world needs to heal, this is the perfect track to lift us up.

3) Friction & JP Cooper - Dancing (Dawn Wall rmx)

The original stands tall on its own, but this remix could be the best of the year. The mysterious Dawn Wall returns with this masterpiece. With their stand out production quality, massive drums, deep bassline and atmospheric elements, they really capture a vibe that is hard to match. This one will be sung all around the world.

4) Keeno – Troopers Peak

Known for his incredible musical talent and ability to orchestrate, Keeno takes symphonic drum & bass to a whole new level. This intro is amazing. Goose bumps pop up immediately as the strings cry out. The piano comes in and the white noise riser sizzles up to the drop. The perfect tension and release as the acoustic sounds of broken drums, a beautiful chord progression and deep bass takes over. This short and sweet tune has all the feelz for you.

5) Dip Vertigo & Dr. Apollo – Red feat. J. Leo Phillips

Rounding out my top five I went with my own tune released on Hospital Records “Sick Music 2019”. Chosen so more people can hear this unique folk song turned Dnb. One of the most fun projects I’ve ever worked on and a song I listen to everyday with my 9-month-old daughter. My brother-in-law wrote, sung and played the guitar. I wrote the drums, laid down the bassline, and tickled the keys, and Dr. Apollo made his debut filling in the nuts and bolts and giving it the proper mix down it deserved. This one made it into the top 100 Dnb tracks on Beatport!
