Hugh Hardie burst on to the scene back in 2014 when his track ‘Tearing Me Apart’ was included in the celebratory Hospital ‘We Are 18′ compilation. Since then he’s released a flurry of single tracks with the label, the ‘City Soul EP’ and his sublime debut LP ‘Colourspace’ and has shown no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Hugh’s smooth sounds are inspired by an eclectic mix of styles, from the rollers of Hospital main-stays High Contrast, Nu:Tone and Logistics all the way to neo-soul and R&B artists Eryka Badu and Musiq Soulchild – not to mention the deep pads and old-school stabs of house and garage.
We’re truly honored for our own Charlie Rebel to have gotten the chance to speak with Hugh and find out which 5 Tunes are currently at the top of his playlist and he did not disappoint! Check out his list today and make sure to follow Hugh Hardie at the links below.
